Irvin 87, of Chamblee GA die April 2, 2008. Mr. Irvin was born in Shawmut Alabama to the late William and Annie Bell Langley Irvin. Langley retired from the General Motors Assembly Plant in Doraville, GA with 30 years of dedicated service. He served proudly in the US Army during WWII.

Mr. Irvin was a member of the Atlanta Primitive Baptist Church where he served as deacon for many years, and was a member of the Chamblee Masonic lodge for over 60 years. He is preceded in death by his brothers Bill Irvin, Julian Irvin, Ned Irvin and Terry Irvin. Mr. Irvin is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Eugenia A.

Express condolences at ajc.com/obit JACKSON, Thomas Thomas Andrew Jackson was born September 8, 1923 in Roswell, Georgia to William Edward Jackson and Fannie Mae Jackson who was from Dunwoody and attended the original Dunwoody Elementary School. Tom graduated from old Milton High School and entered the Air Force where he served during World War II. He survived 17 bombing missions in the European theater. He married Cletis French of St. Louis, MO, in 1946.

He is a graduate of Ga. Tech in industrial management, class of 1950. He was re-activated during the Korean Conflict and retired a Lt. Colonel from the Air Force Reserves. He retired after 30 years of employment with Minneapolis Honeywell as a salesman.

He is survived by his wife, Cletis Jackson and three children, Tom Jackson of Birmingham, Robert Jackson of Stone Mountain, Ga. and Jennifer Jackson of Alpharetta, as well as 9 grandchildren and one great-grandson. In his retirement years he enjoyed his grandchildren and volunteering at the Food Bank, a ministry of his church, Dunwoody United Methodist. Tom was also a member of the VFW. Hubert Lester Nolan, (Ret.) died on his 91st birthday. As a military wife for 32 years, she raised four children in a different location almost every year. During World War II she worked as a secretary. After World War II she dedicated her life to raising her children and doing volunteer work in the various places she lived.

She enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing bridge, and bingo. She was a seamstress and made items from drapes, slip covers and even to making most of her clothes. She was an avid knitter participating in the Gwinnett County Fair for many years. She was a committed and loving Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She spent her retirement years canning and freezing vegetables and fruits grown by her gentleman farmer husband and caring for her eleven grandchildren.

Born one of eight children to Forrest Buford Jameson and Lula Mae Dempsey, Mrs. Nolan is survived by her devoted children, Daughter and Son-in-law, Anna Nolan Shackelford and Robert Wayne Shackelford of Snellville, GA; Daughter, Linda Nolan McAllister of Lawrenceville, GA; Son, Michael Nolan of Athens, GA; Son, Phillip Samuel Nolan and Daughter-in-law, Bonnie Bahney Nolan of Jefferson, GA. She is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great Grandson and Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, Great Nephews, Great-Great Nieces, and Great-Great Nephews. She came from an extraordinary musical family. She was a pianist and her father played viola in the Suffolk Friends of Music Orchestra conducted by Benjamin Britten.

Her uncle, Jascha Schwarzmann, was a concert cellist, and performed in orchestras under Arturo Toscanini, Fritz Reiner, and Dimitri Metropolous. She met her husband, vio- linst William (Bill) Hutchins while both were studying music at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and they married in 1950. They moved to Atlanta when Bill joined the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in 1953. Bee was on the staff of the College of Business at Georgia State University for many years. Upon her retirement in 1995, she joined Hutchins Rea, the classical sheet music company that she co-founded with her husband and with her son-in-law Bill Rea where her love of music and her skill in business helped her find the perfect niche for her talents.

Her husband preceded her in death in 2000. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. She is survived by son Walter Hutchins, daughter Roxanne Rea and her husband William W. (Bill) Rea of Atlanta, as well as sister-in-law Judy Mogy of Ann Arbor, Michigan and cousin Ruth Little of Seattle, Washington.
